TRP Ratings

While watching KBC 2 (Dvitiya) I was wondering what the TRP ratings meant since lot of my friends and relatives watch this program. But, then it struck me that I have no clue how TRP is calculated in India/world. so, I set out to find that out today - here is what I found out. This system is supposedly in use since 1960s. Thank you Mr. Nielsen.
